I just love H&M, you never know what you find and most of the time - if you really just want to pop in to have a look - you actually happen to find a lot!! I just love it for great basics and this navy long sweater dress is perfect, both with boots or ballet flats. It's Friday so hopefully you all have a nice weekend. xoxox

Pretty in pink

When I was in New York earlier this month, I spent half of the time shopping for great wardrobe basics and this H&M sweater is one of them. I am quite tall (5.10) so what other people wear as a dress, I tend to wear as a long sweater. I love the bright pink color and back at home I paired it with my favourite Tory Burch flats, which I have bought at Neiman Marcus in San Francisco 2 years ago (yes...still very much in season :) and classic Roxanne skinny jeans. These jeans are another obsession of mine (meaning I am sort of worried that they will all of a sudden stop making them and therefore I have bought loads to keep stock....). I have received a few emails asking what I carry around with me in my handbag, so my next post is about handbag essentials. What's in your handbag that you can't live without?

We are finally having some sunshine here after many days of constant rain. I went to Monsoon this morning and bought this gorgeous coral skirt (I am so excited to wear this one a lot!), it looks great when paired with ballet flats and plain t-shirt. I carried one of my favorite handbags from Celine, it is a true classic and has a very understated elegance about it. I like having timeless pieces as a basic wardrobe staple and then work around them by mix-matching them into great outfits.

California dreaming...

The bad weather here right now makes me miss California alot...My last trip to San Diego was a little while ago and therefore makes me miss it even more. We stayed at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, which is - in my opinion - the best place to stay in San Diego (I can't think of any other hotel that could beat that view). Our room was on the 30st floor and the view over the city (and over Coronado) was truly breathtaking. Having so much rain here at home right now, I can't help but California dreamin'...

Clinique Chubby Stick

I am not really into wearing bright and heavy lipstick, so on my latest trip to the Clinique counter I came across this one - Clinique Chubby Stick - a gorgeous lightweight formula that is more like a lip balm than a lipstick. Its moisturising consistence feels lovely on your lips and it gives you a very light hint of colour, perfect for summer.

Sunday afternoon

I took my dog for a walk and given that it is late June now - it is still far to cold for this time of year, hence the Ugg's... I am really hoping that the weather will change soon as I am longing to wear some summery dresses and have the smell of sun lotion on my skin.

On my last trip to Italy I picked up this gorgeous dress from Missoni, however due to the bad weather here right now I hardly ever get to wear it. I have found another way to actually get something out of it by pairing it with skinny jeans and ballet flats but I figured it might look just as good with a pair of leather boots. Can we please have some summer here??

I have no idea what's going on with this weather here but it's been the rainiest June I have ever seen. It makes me wear Ugg’s and merino wool sweaters in summer - which is kind of wrong - and it makes me miss the life I once had when I lived in Malaysia a few years ago.
